Dr. Yuji Saito
The founder of our clinic, Dr. Yoshie Saito, who is my grandmother, started "Kitaozuka Dental Clinic" eight years before I was born, in 1964. Unfortunately, my grandmother passed away at the age of 95 in January 2010, but I have taken over her aspirations and the clinic's name to continue dental care in the Otsuka area.
During my grandmother's era, dental treatments to alleviate pain were not as advanced as they are today, so visiting the dentist might have been a somewhat intimidating experience. However, she struggled to educate people about the importance of oral health and continued practicing dentistry until she was 80 years old.
Her dedication still encourages me as a dentist today.
